Our Winter Market is held every Saturday morning 10am to 1pm at The Dye House, at the Lafayette Mill complex, 660 Ten Rod Road, Wickford, RI.
In the summer months we are at Casey Farm in Saunderstown. May through October, open on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30 pm.
Coastal Growers’ Farmers Market is rooted in the idea of farmer, Mike Hutchison, former manager of Casey Farm. With the help and support of wife/co-Manager Polly, Mike started to build a market for local people to buy local food. Local farmers and friends were invited to help draw up a market charter and join the start-up market, and we now uphold a Class A status among farmers markets.
We are proud to offer a marketplace that draws such loyal support from around the state and beyond, and are humbled by the dedication of our patrons. We strive to create an interesting, wholesome and meaningful experience for all.
We celebrate the growing commitment to eat locally, and believe that there are health benefits to living a lifestyle that supports this philosophy. We think it’s incredibly important to know your farmer. Everyone should eat food safely grown by people they know.
What makes us particularly special is that each vendor can claim they have made, caught or grown the products they are selling. Fresh produce, responsibly raised meats, local seafood, artisanal foods, flowers, specialty desserts, made to order and quality work by local artisans are all available to our patrons.
We have an stellar vendor attendance record, and have nearly no cancellations in our history. Coastal Growers’ Farmers Market is a rain-or-shine kind of group, and we hope you’ll join us no matter the weather.
